Captures with Vacuum Fan

Eon Luxe Solutions Pest Vortex uses vacuum action to collect tiny flying insects and pull them into the removable retention cage. Once collected, pests are prevented from escaping by the whisper-quiet fan with continuous operation then landing them onto the no-escape glue pad.

Fruit Flies (Drosophila melanogaster)

It’s not fun dealing with fruit flies in your kitchen – or anywhere else for that matter. They seem to be present at all times of the year and are a frustrating pest to battle. For one thing, their small size makes them difficult to see until they’re buzzing by your face. They also seem to reappear even after you’ve cleaned everything you can think of that might attract them. As their name suggests, fruit flies are attracted to fruit. These small, winged insects are commonly found swarming around overripe, unrefrigerated produce in kitchens. They are also frequently spotted around vegetables and near garbage containers. They are also quite fond of beer and wine. It’s not that they crave alcohol – they’re just drawn to any type of fermenting food source.

Fungus Gnats (families Mycetophilidae and Sciaridae)

Fungus gnats are a common pest of plants grown indoors, especially where humidity and moisture are high. They’re usually first noticed when the harmless adults are seen flying around house plants or gathered at a nearby window. These non-biting adult gnats can become a flying nuisance. But it’s the larval stage, feeding in the soil, that can damage tender plant roots. Most fungus gnats are weak fliers, and can often be seen walking rapidly over plants and soil, rather than flying. However when airborne, the gnats may be quite annoying to humans by flying into their faces, eyes, and noses, both indoors and outdoors. These flies are sometimes confused with drain flies.

Drain flies, sink flies, filter flies, or sewer gnats are small true flies with short, hairy bodies and wings giving them a “furry” moth-like appearance. Drain flies inhabit sink drains and sewage systems, where they are harmless, but cause persistent annoyance. Protected by the extremely fine water-repellent hairs covering their bodies, adults and larvae are difficult to drown, and are not affected by contact with most water-borne toxins such as bleach. Extermination of this household pest depends on the maintenance of clean household drains for a period of at least three weeks. Because of their attraction to UV light, drain moths may be trapped with our pest vortex. However, only eliminating adult flies is usually not effective; larval food sources must be removed to stop more flies from emerging.
